Personal information

User provided information

When using our Apps or Services, you may be asked to register by entering your name, email address and possibly other basic personal information. Registration with us is optional. However, please keep in mind that you may not be able to use some of the features offered when you don't register.

By registering, you generally provide:

  1. your name, email address, age, user name, password and other registration information;
  2. transaction-related information, such as when you make purchases, respond to any offers, or download or use Apps from us;
  3. information you provide us when you contact us for help;
  4. information you enter into our system when using the Apps and Services, such as contact information.

Automatically Collected Information

In addition, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of device you use, a calculated unique device ID, the IP address of your device, your operating system, the type of Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use our Apps and Services.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to help us improve the Apps and Services. We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

  • if Goldfish Software GmbH, as the holder of the registered trademark «odddots™», is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of this information, as well as any choices you may have regarding this information.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs);
  • To administer a contest, promotion, survey or a similar feature;
  • To send periodic emails;
  • The email address you provide may be used to send you information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of information by our Apps and Services easily by uninstalling the App and/or stop using the Service. For Apps, you may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your device or via the platform specific application marketplace or network. You can also request to opt-out via email, at privacy@goldfish-software.com.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

We will retain user provided data for as long as you use the App or Service and for a reasonable time thereafter. We will retain automatically collected information for up to 24 months and thereafter may store it in aggregate form. If you’d like us to delete user provided data that you have provided via the App or Service, please contact us at privacy@goldfish-software.com and we will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the user provided data may be required in order for the Apps and Services to function properly.

Social networks

Certain features of our Apps and Services may enable you to connect to social networking sites and for us to obtain additional information about you and your network. In such instances, we may be able to collect certain Personal Information and Non-Personal Information from your social networking profile when your social networking site permits it, and when you consent to allow your social networking site to make such information available to us. This information may include, but is not limited to, your name, profile picture, gender, social network user ID, email address, your country, your language, your time zone, the organizations and links on your profile page, the names and profile pictures of your social networking site “friends” and other information you have included in your social networking site profile. We may associate, combine and/or use information collected through such social networking sites in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Children

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act). We do not use the Apps or Services to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at privacy@goldfish-software.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.

Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Apps or Services. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here and/or informing you via email or text message. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Your Consent

By using the Apps or Services, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing" means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in Switzerland. If you reside outside of Switzerland your information may be transferred, processed and stored there under Swiss privacy standards.
